2015-16 Broadband Infrastructure Grants

In an effort to further support educational technology in California, the state legislature has allocated an additional $50 million in funding to help schools with inadequate bandwidth upgrade their current external connection to the Internet.

The 2015-16 Broadband Infrastructure Improvement Grant (BIIG 2.0) application window closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.

2014-15 Broadband Infrastructure Grants

Recognizing the need for adequate infrastructure to support computer-based assessments, the 2014-15 budget included $26.7 million in funding to support broadband infrastructure improvement grants (SB 852).
